Ryan Packard, 2022 March Athlete of the Month

Herkimer, NY- Herkimer College has announced its Green and Gold Athletes for the month of March.  They are women’s softball player Elora Wilmot (Cazenovia, NY) and men’s baseball player Ryan Packard (Oneonta, NY).

Ryan Packard has led the pitching staff early in the 2022 season. Packard had 3 wins for the Generals in his outing against Rockingham, Brookdale and Hudson Valley. In Packard’s 10 innings of work, he has 20 strike outs, scattering only 3 hits and 1 earned run, resulting in a 0.82 ERA for the month. Packard is currently the Student Government President at Herkimer College and has accepted an athletic scholarship to the University of Dayton for the fall of 2022.

Head Coach Jason Rathbun said, “Ryan has had to work through so much to get to this point. It’s great to see all his hard work pay off. He’s had to a great start to this year and were so proud of his progress.”
