Women's Basketball Freshman Amiya Carter named Herkimer Generals Greeen & Gold Female Athlete of the Month

Amiya Carter, freshman accounting major from Newark, NJ, has been named the Green & Gold Ahtlete of the month for December and January.  Amiya has been an athletic force for the Generals all season, consistently making her presence felt on both ends of the court. She delivered a dominant performance against Division II SUNY Niagara, leading the team in both points and rebounds. Her relentless defensive pressure, combined with her ability to push the pace in transition, played a crucial role in the Generals’ comeback victory over Division II Jamestown Community College.

During the months of December and January, Amiya averaged 15 points and 6 rebounds per game, showcasing her consistency and impact. Her outstanding play earned her NJCAA Region 3 Athlete of the Week honors, highlighting her as one of the top performers in the region.
