Herkimer Generals Green & Gold Athlete of the Month – February Rachael Defraine, Herkimer County Community College

Freshman swimmer Rachael Defraine, Taberg, NY, delivered an outstanding performance in February, earning Herkimer Generals Green & Gold Athlete of the Month honors. Competing at the Region III Northeast District Championships, Defraine showcased her talent and determination in multiple events.

She achieved a national qualifying time with a 5th-place finish in the 50-yard breaststroke and recorded her fastest time of the season in the 50-yard freestyle. Defraine continued her strong showing in the 100-yard breaststroke, finishing in the top five while also posting a season-best time.

Her efforts played a key role in leading the Generals to a 4th-place team finish, highlighting her impact as a rising contributor to the program.
