Game 1 was a true pitcher's duel that stretched into extra innings, with Herkimer eventually pulling out a hard-fought 2–1 victory. Both teams battled through limited scoring chances, but the Generals stayed composed late. Adam Weiss was the key offensive force, finishing with three hits and driving in both of Herkimer's runs. His timely hitting proved to be the difference in a game where every at-bat mattered.
